Trisha Rooney is an experienced entrepreneur and industry leader with a deep understanding of the business and community environments essential to sustainable commercial growth. Her reputation as a strategy-driven Chicago leader, generous with her time and expertise, has paralleled her company’s success as she celebrates 30 years of business. 

It’s no wonder Trisha is a leader in Chicago and the business sector.  Her father, Phil Rooney lived a 5-decade career in the service industry, hauling waste.  With service in her blood and an excellent example to learn from, Trisha wanted to continue this Rooney tradition.   

In 1993, 23 years old and fresh out of college, Trisha discovered a real estate investment she felt offered her an opportunity to build a business; a warehouse in Chicago’s South Loop rented for record storage.  An entrepreneur at heart, she approached the tenant and offered pick-up and delivery services. They became her first customer. Continued research, determination, and sheer hard work as a one-woman sales force, she persuaded other firms to give her a try.  Soon, Trish and R4 Services were in full swing.   As the business services expanded, a reoccurring need arose for in-house document shredding and Trisha encouraged her brother, Sean, a 2008 graduate from University of Notre Dame to head up R4’s Destruction Services. 

Over the next three decades, Ms. Rooney developed a 30-person team that continue to evolve her needs-based, customer-focused business. The family legacy lives on.  Customization and Customer Service are innate to R4’s success. Today, you can still talk with a Rooney when you call, and we are still committed to providing the best service by investing in the best technology and people.
